You were born under the power of the law of sin and death because of Adam’s trade, but now, as a son of God, you have the opportunity to proactively apply the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus to empower you to overcome both sin and death! Adam’s spirit died instantly, and his body followed, as the law of sin and death was “worked out” in him. In the same way, your spirit became alive instantly at salvation, and your body will follow as the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus is “worked out” in you! One of the most powerful external tools for the outworking of this reality is communion. Communion is a mystery, a tangible doorway to the supernatural reality of your death in Christ and His life in you. It gives the physical body a way of coming into agreement with the human spirit, so that immortality and eternal life can be received and enjoyed. Communion was given to remind you of what is really true and to literally create in your body that reality. Jesus wasn’t kidding when He said,
Eternal life comes to the one who eats my body and drinks my blood, and I will raise him up in the last day. For my body is real food for your spirit and my blood is real drink. The one who eats my body and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in him. The Father of life sent me, and he is my life. In the same way, the one who feeds upon me, I will become his life. I am not like the bread your ancestors ate and later died. I am the living Bread that comes from heaven. Eat this Bread and you will live forever! –John 6:54-58, TPT
DNA Cleansing Prayer
Take communion daily, while using this prayer to appropriate the work of the cross to your physical body and your DNA, inserting specific generational strongholds (such as fear, anger, rejection, abuse, infirmity, etc.) in the blank, as Holy Spirit leads you. And be prepared to watch God’s miraculous life overtake all traces of death in you — spirit, soul and body!
Father, I approach Your throne of grace boldly, because of the blood of the Lamb. Here, in the courts of heaven, I stand representing myself and my earthly bloodline. I repent of my own sin and my ancestor’s sin of ______________________. I repent for every way that I have given this sin power in my life (be specific with this), and I renounce and break agreement with it. I forgive my ancestors for passing this sin down to me, and I forgive myself for participating in it. I joyfully receive Your forgiveness and Your freedom, and I thank You for clothing me with Your righteousness and making me Your child. I now exchange this sin for Your blessing of _____________________.
Now, as I partake of Your body and Your blood, Yeshua, I apply the verdict of “innocent” to my DNA and my physical body. I thank You for erasing, with Your blood, every memory of sin and iniquity stored in my DNA and replacing it with the reality of my new, Divine DNA. Using this external anchor of Your body and blood, I appropriate the law of the spirit of life to my physical body. Through the vehicle of communion, I call forth Your life, which is resonating in my spirit, into my soul and my physical body. Thank You for freeing me from the law of sin and death. Thank You that my physical body no longer remembers or retains any residue of death. Thank You for making me fully alive in You forever!
