For this week’s blog, I thought I’d just give you a free song download (available for 24 hours only) from my newest album, Awe & Wonder. It’s called King of Glory, and it was inspired by Psalm 24.
I’ve loved Psalm 24 for years and would often end up singing it to the Lord as I ministered to Him and flowed in the Spirit. I could feel His pleasure, and I could feel the power behind it, though, at that time, I had no understanding of the practical significance of the words I was singing.
Who, then, ascends into the presence of the Lord? And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place? Those who are clean — whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior- God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob.
Pause in his presence
So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you. You ask, “Who is this Glory-King?” The Lord, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” He is the Lord of Victory, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Over the years, the Father has continued to unfold layer after layer of this beautiful anthem to me, teaching me that there are gates in the heavenly realm, gates in the geographical earth and gates in the human body. And we literally ARE gates of heaven! As a gate of heaven, the gatepost of your spirit (the real you) is firmly anchored in the heavenly realm, the gatepost of your physical body is firmly anchored in the earth realm, and your soul, when properly aligned, connects the two. Why is understanding that you are a gateway so important? So that the King of Glory can flow through you, establishing His government here!
I hope that you enjoy this song. As you listen, engage your imagination to see heaven flowing into earth through the gatepost of YOU. See His kingdom established here, on earth as in heaven. See the King of Glory enthroned upon your praise, high and lifted up in all His glorious majesty!
