Yeshua was not an example for us, but of us. He was revealing what is possible for all fully mature sons of God. The Hebrew word Elohim means “ruler, judge or godlike one.” It first refers to Father, Son and Holy Spirit creating together in the beginning, but also refers to you when you create with Him. We know that God’s voice is like the sound of many waters. And we know from Scripture that righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne.
…His voice thundered like a great waterfall. The entire earth reflected His shining glory.
–Ezekiel 43:2, VOICE
Your glorious throne rests on a foundation of righteousness and just verdicts. Grace and truth are the attendants who go before you.
–Psalm 89:14, TPT
Putting these two passages together, we see that God’s verdicts of righteousness and justice (His words) are the very foundation of His throne (the seat of His authority and dominion). They flow as a mighty waterfall, filling the earth.
But let justice flow like a river and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

His voice, like the sound of many waters, is decreeing, in ultimate authority, on your behalf. God’s justice is a fierce, mighty, unstoppable torrent that no demon, nor hell itself can stand against!
As a fully mature son of God, Yeshua functioned in His role as Elohim, echoing His Father’s words of righteous judgment. We see Him in action in Mark 11, when He cursed the fig tree and then immediately went to Jerusalem to cleanse the temple, overturning the tables of the money changers. Genesis 3:7 tells us that, when Adam and Eve sinned, they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. So, the fig tree represents the fallen nature of Adam and his attempt to provide a covering for himself. When Jesus cleansed the temple, He was dealing with the religious system that did the very same thing. These two zealous actions done on the very same day were not indiscriminate or random in any way. In fact, they were one and the same: Yeshua, as Elohim, was judging the Adamic nature and the religious system of dead works and self-righteousness that springs from it. This is why He said to the fig tree, Let no one eat fruit from you ever again. In just a few days, He, the spotless Passover Lamb, would be putting an end to this system forever!
In Christ, your destiny is to create, to rule and to judge. No, not the counterfeit, demonic spirit of judgment that Yeshua warned us about in Matthew 7:1: Judge not, that you be not judged. You are destined to walk in true, godly judgment, which is the fruit of spiritual maturity.
For everyone who is fed with milk is inexpert in the word of righteousness. For he is but a babe. But strong meat belongs to those who are of full age, who through regular use have their wits exercised to judge both good and evil also.

As you grow to maturity, the outflow of the voice of God through you will enable you to rule and reign, first over your own being, and then over all of creation.
We all fail in many areas, but especially with our words. Yet if we’re able to bridle the words we say we are powerful enough to control ourselves in every way, and that means our character is mature and fully developed.

When the Father first began teaching our ecclesia to function as elohim, He sent the Spirit of Wisdom to teach us of the power and importance of our words.
To fear the Lord is to hate evil. I hate pride and arrogance, the path of evil and corrupt speech.
–Proverbs 8:13, CEB
We submitted to Wisdom’s instruction, and the Father sent a fiery seraph to cleanse our lips (Isaiah 6:1-7). We knew that God was preparing us to rule and reign by proactively speaking words of LIFE.
By me kings reign,
And rulers decree justice.
By me princes rule, and nobles,
All the judges of the earth.
–Proverbs 8:15-16, NKJV
Since that time, we have been given some very weighty legislative assignments, and the Father has even invited us to create with Him, painting His heart on the canvas of our literal, physical downtown cityscape. He has, at times, asked us, What do you want? What do you see? What can you dream? We are literally changing our city through our thoughts, our love and our creative words… just as in the beginning. After one particularly powerful and sobering time of judging earthly matters from the heavenly realm, someone blurted out, “We eholim’d it!” We all laughed, and the phrase just stuck… And, yes, we did! We functioned as elohim, releasing God’s righteous judgments and His justice into the earth. And so can you!
You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.
–Job 22:28, AMP
Remember, because of the cross and the blood of Christ, you are a son of God and a king. A king does not beg and plead; a king makes decrees, and it is done. With that in mind, use affirmations of truth to speak to whatever mountain is standing before you, and watch it fall!
I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be lifted up and be thrown into the sea, and does not waver in his lev (heart) but has emunah that what he says happens, so it will be for him.
