THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
The Sword of the Spirit comes to divide soul from spirit (Hebrews 4:12) so we can allow the Holy Spirit to reveal all that we are and remove all that we are not. Our soul realm is where the brokenness resides, and is being changed from glory to glory (II Corinthians 3:18). But our spirit is the real person and has already been gloriously transformed into His likeness (II Corinthians 5:17).
If this dividing work has not taken place, we over-identify with ungodly habits, patterns, issues, thoughts, emotions, generational baggage and strongholds, thinking that they are us. This triggers shame, causing us to either blame or hide.
But if His Sword of Truth has penetrated our being, revealing our true identity, we will quickly and joyfully allow Him to untangle us from everything less than the beauty and dignity with which we were created.
So, just say YES to the Sword of the Spirit today….
