The sound Of Many Waters

In the beginning, God’s thoughts were present, and Holy Spirit was brooding over them, giving them life energy. But it wasn’t until Let there be! was spoken did the tangible world materialize. To follow this Divine pattern, we align our thoughts with the Father’s thoughts, we align our emotions with the breath of Ruach, we proactively use our imagination to unite and ignite them with passion and… we keep this process working its way outward by aligning our words with Yeshua, who is THE Word!

Both Ezekiel 43:2 and Revelation 1:15 describe God’s voice as being like the sound of many waters. And even in the New Testament, the word of God is referred to as water (Ephesians 5:25-26). But did you know that your voice is described as the sound of many waters, too? In Revelation 19, we see the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures falling down to worship God, and all of heaven praising Him. Then…

…a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!” And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!” –Revelation 19:5-6, NKJV

Here, the voices of God’s servants sounded just like the voice of the One they were praising! We were created to be His echo in the earth! In fact, the word “person” comes from the Latin word personare, which is a combination of two words: per, a prefix meaning “through” and sonare, a verb meaning “to sound.” So, the literal meaning of the word “person” is “to sound through!” Even the physical makeup of the human body is made to be a conductor of sound. The average adult human body is between 50 and 65 percent water. And sound travels through water five times faster than it does through air! Several weeks ago, I mentioned that the letter hei in the name of YHVH is the upper breath and the lower breath…His breath in agreement with our breath, flowing into and through us, filling the earth. In the same way, His voice is the upper water and our voice is the lower water. Together, we create.

So God parted the waters and formed this expanse, separating the waters above from the waters below. It happened just as God said. –Genesis 1:7, VOICE

You are created in God’s image, so your unique voiceprint (your words, your songs, your sounds) are the outworking of the River of Life that flows from His throne. Your words in agreement with His words are those rivers of living water that flow out of your innermost being (John 7:38). This is how the knowledge (thoughts) of the glory (emotions) of the Lord will cover the earth, like the waters (words) fill the sea (Habakkuk 2:14)!

Next week, you’ll discover some very specific characteristics of the voice of Yeshua, the Living Word, that you, too can implement to co-create with Him. So stay tuned…
