Only The Fire Knows

One of the most difficult aspects of transition is waiting. Because transition is not only the birthing of something new but is also the death of the old, waiting is of the utmost importance. If we attempt to build or step into something new before the old is completely dismantled and before our paradigms have shifted, we will unknowingly create more of what is familiar. Quite simply, we don’t know what we don’t know. So we need Divine help in letting go. And that happens… you guessed it, as we wait.

We’re all familiar with Abraham and Sarah’s struggle to wait and the fact that Isaac, the son of promise, came after the complete dying of the old (Romans 4:19; Hebrews 11:12).

We also know about the Israelites, whose 40-year journey from Egypt to the Promised Land should have only taken about 11 days. Their wilderness wandering was all about the dying away of the old slave mindsets that would have prevented them from conquering, ruling, reigning and stewarding their Promised Land.

Lately in my intimate times with the Lord, I’ve found myself dancing with the Flame of Yah (Jesus) on the fiery stones in the Father’s heart. As He holds me close, I am very aware that His flame is burning away things of yesterday, wineskins that are simply too small. It’s a relief to know that I don’t have to figure it all out. My job is to yield to the One who knows all things and to allow His vehement flame to do what only the fire can do.

Several years ago, the Lord gave me a song that has become my anthem of this refining process. It’s called Resplendent Beauty, and I want to give you a free download today. So, if you’re dancing in His transition flame (or even if you’re not), I hope this song blesses and encourages you today.
