Maintaining A Life Of Glory

Have you ever experienced the glory of God when He did a new thing in your life, only to feel like it gradually faded away? Did you know that this is a pattern we also see in the Bible and throughout church history.

In this teaching, you will learn how to live a life of ever-increasing glory… pursuing God into new territory while simultaneously stewarding the things He has already given you to steward.

The glory of God establishes and solidifies new things. So, His supernatural grace will meet us as we continue growing, expanding and stepping out. John Wimber once said that “faith is spelled R.I.S.K.” And this is true. Every new thing we embrace requires a paradigm shift and a step of faith. The fact that we experience His manifest presence when growing and forging new territory motivates us to press through the uncomfortability of growth. When we refuse to do this, we get stuck and stagnant. Our passion for His presence leads us past the safety of our comfort zone and into the new. And I believe this will continue happening forever. God is infinite, and we will be ever growing into a deeper reality of who He is and who He is in us. We must also faithfully steward what God has established and solidified. We do this out of obedience, even when we don’t get the warm fuzzies, even when it’s hard. As we stay in sync with our maturation and subsequent expansion, His glory and His grace will be abundant as we let go of old wineskins and embrace new.

The key to victorious transition is holding fast to eternal principles, letting go of the superficial manifestations of what those things looked like in past seasons (old wineskins), and leaning on Holy Spirit to help us discern which is which. We cannot do this in the flesh! But sensitivity to His Spirit will help us to discern when “the cloud” of His presence has moved. And our hunger for Him will cause us to let go of the old and move with Him.

We can all draw close to Him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into His very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

-II Corinthians 3:18, TPT

I hope this encourages you and brings clarity to your seasons in Him,
