We all know the story…. God used Moses to bring the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. They witnessed amazing signs and wonders, but still had trouble trusting that God would take care of them. They wandered in circles, taking 40 years to travel what should have been an 11-day journey to Canaan. We’re pretty hard on them, and usually this story is preached as a motivation for us to stop complaining and to have more faith. Yes, it is true that their fear, doubt, unbelief, rebellion and negativity sabotaged God’s blessings and promises in their lives. But what if the point isn’t for us to try harder or believe more? What if the whole point God is trying to make is that slaves must die in the wilderness because slaves could never steward their Promised Land?
Because of Adam’s trade with lucifer, he went from having dominion over creation to being subservient to it, working by the sweat of his brow. Sounds like slavery to me. This is why the cross is necessary. God is not trying to improve the fallen version of us. His plan all along was to annihilate us! Revelation 13:8 calls Jesus the Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world, because the eternal plan was that we would die with Him and be BORN AGAIN an entirely different creature…. one who possesses the DNA of God rather than Adam, one who can rule and reign once more, and one who can actually steward those miraculous promises!
What does this mean for you? It means dying to your old ways of thinking and doing things, and to your own ability to produce something supernatural. It means dying in the wilderness in order to enter the land of promise. It means taking up your cross, knowing that in God’s kingdom, death is always unto resurrection and ascension life! In this book, we will talk about the “classroom of co-creation” that the Father has prepared for His sons, which is a real place in the realm of the Spirit. But co-creating with God cannot be a work of the flesh. Christ living through you must be the One to enter that classroom and, wearing your skin, to
co-create with the Father.
By faith, you apply the work of the cross to what the Bible calls your “old man” — that one who is afraid, hurting, despondent, faithless, unbelieving, stubborn, controlling and striving. That person died with Christ and was resurrected, except that now it is no longer you. It is Christ Himself living through you, doing what only He can do and what He can do effortlessly. Your faith might be weak, but He has no trouble believing Himself. And He has no trouble
co-creating with the Father. He has been doing it since the very beginning.
In the very beginning the Living Expression was already there. And the Living Expression was with God, yet fully God. They were together — face-to-face, in the very beginning. And through his creative inspiration this Living Expression made all things, for nothing has existence apart from him! Life came into being because of him, for his life is light for all humanity. And this Living Expression is the Light that bursts through gloom — the Light that darkness could not diminish!
