Recently, there was a tangible increase in the presence of God during corporate worship. At one point, He came with healing in His wings, with physical manifestations in people’s bodies. During worship, I felt a wind to my right that was so strong I thought that someone had turned on a fan. It was the most tangible manifestation I have experienced. I knew it was angelic and I began to inquire of the Lord and to listen.
“Are you aware of the rank and calibre of the heavenly beings I have sent to assist you in this assignment? Why would you give even the slightest attention to who is here or not here in the natural realm, when you are accompanied by such spiritual dignitaries?”
The realm of the Spirit opened more and more, as we kept singing, “His glory is being released through the gates” (gates, plural, in that we have gates, we are gates and there are gates in the earth).
The presence of the Lord was thick. Then He said to me, “Now worship me.” But no song seemed adequate. The silence became longer and longer, and I felt my soul become restless, like I wasn’t doing my job. Then, I sensed that God just wanted to be with us, like two familiar friends who can enjoy each other’s presence without words. I felt that He wanted to hold my hand, so I moved my right hand from my lap to my side. I felt slight heat and pressure, and I knew that He took my hand. And He smiled.
