Dove’s Eyes

We become what we behold.  So stop focusing on your sins and weaknesses and focus on Him.  This is how we are “changed from glory to glory”… It is from His glory to ours!

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”  (IICorinthians 3:18)

Several places in Song of Solomon, the beloved Shulamite is praised for having “Dove’s Eyes.”  Doves have no peripheral vision, so their eyes are always focused on what is directly in front of them.  The point is this:  We are to be locked in Yeshua’s gaze, only focusing upon Him, not distracted with even the things He wants us to do.  As His eyes turn toward these assignments or things in our lives that need attention, we follow His gaze.  When we are striving to figure things out in our own strength, we set ourselves up to fail.  But when He directs our attention to something, He simultaneously pours out abundant grace to overcome!

So receive this song the Lord is singing over you… and be changed into His likeness by beholding His magnificent beauty!

“Behold, how beautiful you are, my darling,
Behold, how beautiful you are!
Your eyes are dove’s eyes.” (Song of Solomon 1:15)
