Today (starting at sundown on October 4th) is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
We have journeyed together through the Hebrew month of Elul, where our beautiful King walked with us in the fields of our lives, showing us what to say YES to and what to say NO to in the coming season. His wisdom and love ushered us into the 10 Days of Awe, where He poured out abundant grace to repent for all the ways we have sinned (fallen short of His glorious perfection and His amazing plans for our lives). Now, today is a very special reminder that our shortcomings have all been covered by His precious blood. We are abundantly pardoned. All our sins and iniquities were placed upon Him as He hung on the cross. And now, all the Father sees when He looks at us is the righteousness of His Son. What a beautiful and holy mystery that we will never tire of meditating upon!
Last Saturday at All Things Restored, not even thinking about this upcoming holy day, I saw Yeshua offering His blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat, and I began decreeing through prophetic song the superiority of the blood of the Lamb. I saw that His blood still speaks. It is still crying out for you and for me. It’s frequency resonates throughout heaven and earth for all of eternity. Unlike the blood of lower sacrifices, His blood is holy because He is utterly and completely sinless. We began to decree that His blood trumps every other sacrifice, and we began to appropriate its power in our lives. He was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world… in other words, He was the solution before there was ever a problem. That is how sovereign, wise and loving our God is!
For the last few days, many of our intercessors have been ascending into the heavenly realm and pouring the blood of Jesus out upon the East Gate of our nation, agreeing with the Father’s delight to extend mercy. Today, pause for just a moment and take communion, applying the blood of Jesus to your life and to all that the Father has entrusted to your stewardship. Be led by His Spirit. And remember, with thanksgiving, the mystery of the power of His blood.
From glory to glory…
